Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has shared key updates regarding the housing project, including the lucky draw process, beneficiary selection and construction works. According to the information shared by the minister, a lucky draw will be conducted for around 8,000 houses across 16 constituencies under the core Hyderabad region. The process is expected to be conducted transparently, with four constituencies covered per day. For the first phase, around 60,720 applications were received between June 20 and August 15. After field-level verification and scrutiny, 40,900 applicants were identified as eligible, while 19,820 applications were rejected for not meeting the required criteria. The government has also completed the tender process for construction of Indiramma Towers in 15 constituencies, with an estimated project cost of around ₹807.40 crore. Construction has already been launched in Rajendranagar, while work in other areas is expected to begin soon. Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stated that eligible beneficiaries would be selected without discrimination based on caste, religion or political affiliation. He also said that beneficiaries would not have to bear registration expenses, with free registration being provided as part of the initiative. The government aims to complete the construction works and hand over house keys to eligible beneficiaries within the announced timeline.
